Title
Photo of Zoe
Description
Zoe exudes confidence in this photo taken for The East Side’s November/December 1909 issue’s advertorial for the short-lived Kosmos Electric Runabout Company. Its wicker cars were meant for tootling around resorts. For a test run, Zoe and the company president boarded at Kosmos headquarters at Columbus Circle and headed into Central Park. They were admired by pedestrians as well as passengers in full-size cars. Zoe called the Kosmos “very humane,” since it was engineered to stop automatically when people and animals crossed its path.
