Description

After the 1934 success of the Pioneer Zephyr, other companies embraced streamlined trains. In the East, the Pennsylvania Railroad promoted their new streamlined electric locomotives with this pamphlet. The sleek GG1 class electric locomotives were designed by Raymond Lowey and were immediately popular with the public for both their pleasing design and fast speeds.
