2018.

The Mattioli block was given to the School by Virginia Gardner, a collector and antiquarian book dealer, who also furnished RBS with a teaching set of restrike prints of the block produced in the late 1980s by Alecto Historical Editions. In 2018, RBS staff scanned a restrike print of the block and used the resulting image to create a photopolymer plate, now used to teach students about the techniques of forgery and facsimiles in the antiquarian book trade in a course taught by RBS faculty member Nick Wilding.
