Description
Alan S. Thorndike (1945-2018), presumably as a college student, printed and oil-marbled this edition of twenty copies. In the colophon he thanks Russell Limbach, Father of the Chapel, for introducing him to the art of marbling and expresses his hope that the book will help revive an interest in the art. Thorndike later became a physicist and professor specializing in the areas of polar ice and climate.
