In 2006, Michael Schwab was selected to create a series of posters for Amtrak that would put a modern take on the traditional passenger train promotional poster from the golden age of railroading. These posters were a great success with their bold graphics identifying iconic trains, either relating to the destination, like New Orleans, or the journey, like the California Zephyr.
