Description

Steele devotes ten pages to the Daniel Press in this early survey of English private presses. It was based on the list compiled by Madan in 1903 for the Times Literary Supplement and reprinted in a limited edition by the Philosopher Press in 1904 (also shown in this case). Each entry includes the title, edition size, date, and size of the work. The Fell black letter that Daniel used is reproduced on the right in Collotype facsimile.
