Edited for much of its short run by Thomas Paine, the magazine featured literary and philosophical essays, book reviews, scientific and technical articles by American contributors and the latest news of military and political events from the early months of the Revolution. This is the final issue, (and the first in the newly declared United States of America) and the only contemporary magazine printing of the Declaration of Independence.
